The stable boy, Wang Haohan, accidentally takes on the identity of General Yao Yuan while escaping from prison after his master is wrongfully imprisoned. In the process, he manages to escape a dire situation. Wang Wan’er, in an effort to save her father, requests that Haohan, pretending to be the versatile and skilled Yao Yuan, obtain a pardon token. However, this leads Wang Haohan, a simple man, to become embroiled in a larger conspiracy.
