In the early years of the Republic of China, amidst widespread displacement, five individuals—an accountant, a beggar, a hunter, a castrator, and a barefoot doctor—banded together. Driven by unbearable hunger, they absurdly decided to become bandits, shouting the slogan “Rob money, rob food, rob women” as they embarked on a life of crime. However, when they arrived at Shikuo Village to carry out a robbery, they discovered that the village was plagued by an epidemic and had turned into a ghost town.
