According to legend, after Wang Mang usurped the throne in order to legitimize his imperial authority for future generations and to prevent those with malicious intent from coveting his tomb’s treasures, he intentionally placed his burial within a large ship’s coffin and sank it into the silt of the Yellow River. He also established four major Yellow River boat gangs: Sand Diggers, Body Retrievers, Burial Escorts, and Tomb Guardians. While conducting trade was a facade, the true purpose was to protect the ship’s coffin. Hence, in the Yellow River region, there is an ancient legend of the “Dragon King’s Eye and the Secret Treasure.” During the era of the Republic of China, the four major Yellow River boat gangs became fragmented due to years of warfare and political instability. The long-held rules were no longer upheld, and with the aging of the boat gang leader, Wang Changgu, tensions flared between the gangs. Although Wang Wudou belonged to the Sand Diggers gang by birth, he was adopted by the current gang leader from a young age, and his mysterious origins earned him disdain from his fellow gang members. To discover the truth about his heritage, Wang Wudou embarked on an adventure beneath the Yellow River, not only to aid the gang but also to uncover the secrets of his own past. Thus began the exploration beneath the Yellow River!
