Shitou and Xiaolan travel to Sanya for an audition as martial arts actors. On set, Shitou rescues Zhao Ruihan, sparking a misunderstanding with Peter. Framed and expelled, the two drift through odd jobs until they help Zhao Ruihan confront Peter’s threats and rescue her from a kidnapping. With Peter arrested and new investments secured, the film resumes in their village, with Shitou as the lead. The story unfolds as a tribute to the dreams and struggles of ordinary people.
